Lakes Area Professional Child Care Association (LAPCCA) is a non-profit organization
that began in 1990, and currently has a membership of approximately 50 licensed
family child care providers in Douglas County.
We offer:
- A free referral service to assist you in filling your childcare openings.
- Meetings and Trainings to further educate and motivate family child care providers. Parents are always welcome for $5.00 per training/meeting.
Goals for LAPCCA:
- Strive for quality care for all children in family child care.
- Promote and support a professional attitude in licensed providers.
- Increase and improve public awareness of family child care providers as PROFESSIONALS.
- Encourage growth and development of LAPCCA providers by initiating training courses, and encouraging members to take advantage of trainings offered by LAPCCA and other agencies.
- Provide information for family child care providers and their families.
- Inform members of new laws and upcoming legislature that is of importance to family child care providers.
